Speech and language therapist, Laura, from the Family Centre, will be offering a free Zoom training session about the Early Talk Program they offer families.
The course is a six week course:
Week 1: introduction to the course so families understand what the course is about and what they hope to achieve.
Following 5 weeks: themed sessions, with the room set up in a stay and play style.
During the course they will share and model strategies to help encourage speech and language so families can continue these at home. The course is the first step or intervention before speech and language therapists get involved, if needed, when the children are age 2.5.
It is a great course with some lovely resources and they have had some very positive feedback from families so far.
