Part-Time Volunteer Manager, North Herts

£22,183 pro rata   20 hrs (£11,990)  

Home-Start Hertfordshire is a dynamic voluntary organisation resulting from the merger of six locally based Home-Start schemes. The current organisation is in its fifth year of service delivery. Through our Volunteer Family Mentors we support families under stress in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

We are looking for a part-time Volunteer Manager who will supervise the Volunteer Family Mentors in the North Herts area. The volunteer manager responsibilities include receiving and assessing referrals from a variety of sources and ensuring a good match between families and volunteers.

The recruitment, selection and preparation of suitable volunteers is a key role. Home-Start Hertfordshire is committed to good safeguarding practice in all areas of our work and we seek to maintain the highest standards of practice in supporting families within our model.

Successful applicants will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the needs of children and families and excellent interpersonal skills. Successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced disclosure check with the DBS.
