It’s great when people get in touch and want to do something to make a difference, especially when it’s a group of youngsters (sorry if that’s not an ok title!). They were involved in the National Citizens Service (NCS) which is a personal and social development programme for young people aged 15-17 .
As part of the programme the group had to create and deliver a social action project. They decided to create a website for the families we support that would help with health eating on a budget. Working in teams they researched healthy eating and nutrition. They also put together some tips around food hygiene and created their website ‘Tasty Tips’ that provides a selection of tried and ‘tasted’, low cost, healthy and nutritional recipes!
The group were so enthusiastic and passionate about their project. It was great to be able to visit and meet them all in person to say thank you for this amazing resource that will benefit our families, and many others who I am sure will find it helpful.
Visit their website ‘Tasty Tips – Family food for a good mood‘, now to see just what a great job
they have done!
